WHAT ARE THE MELINE SKIN PIGMENTATION PEELS?
MELINE Pigmentation is a specialised treatment designed specifically for individuals dealing with melasma, hormonal pigmentation, and sun damage. Melasma is a particularly challenging form of pigmentation to treat and correct. This expertly formulated peel works by targeting pigmentation deep within the dermis, where it resides.
When pigmentation is uneven, it can show up as dark patches, spots, or discoloration—this is often what people are referring to when they talk about “pigmentation issues.” Common causes of uneven pigmentation include:
Sun exposure (sunspots or age spots)
Hormonal changes (like melasma)
Inflammation or injury (leading to post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation)
- Certain medications or medical conditions
As well as hyperpigmentation and melano-hematic pigmentation, MELINE also treats signs of ageing (fine lines) and acne in a process referred to as ‘controlled chemical dermabrasion’.
This phrase describes the process of using chemical agents to peel away the top layer of dead skin cells.
The MELINE process includes preparation, peel and then a programme of aftercare at home with special products designed to designed to control pigmentation, decrease melanin production, promote renewal of skin cells, improve sun damage and even out the tone and colour of the skin.
CLINICAL EVIDENCE
A clinical study of 168 participants was carried out, including patients with hyperpigmentation, skin ageing and acne.
- Excellent results in 95% of cases of hyperpigmentation
- Excellent results in 90% of cases for the aged skin group
- Excellent results in 85% of patients with acne-prone skin
- Excellent results in 65% of cases with melano-hematic pigmentation
Hyperpigmentation results from increased melanin levels due to melanocyte hyperactivity. This is a sign of photo-aging of the skin due to excessive sun exposure. Melasma and/or chloasma are specific hyperpigmentation, which can be very challenging to treat due to their tendency to recur. While hyperpigmentation can be significantly improved, long term results depend on regular use of a high factor sun screen.
Acne-prone skin generally has increased sebum secretion, open pores and for many patients, redness or flushing (especially with fair skin). Controlled chemical dermabrasion can be an excellent help for patients with acne.
Immediate effects in the clinical trial included reddening and flaky skin.
Patients having a stronger treatment may experience swelling. Peeling tends to start after 48 hours and will last for 3-4 days.
- Caucasian and ethnic skin types
- Acne-prone and spotty skin
- Suitable for use on the face or body (e.g. acne chest/shoulders)

MELINE DARK CIRCLES
The MELINE dark circles is an exclusive treatment plan to effectively brighten and rejuvenate the eye area. Our comprehensive treatment plan spans 4 in-salon sessions, featuring a super-soft depigmenting solution that gently exfoliates the upper layers of the eye contour, gradually fading periorbital hyperpigmentation.
Moreover, this unique formula accelerates skin regeneration, leaving the skin of the eye contour brighter, smoother, and more youthful.
Complementing our professional treatment is an at-home care cream in a convenient roll-on. Patients should start using it two days after the first professional treatment session to enhance the effects.
WHAT IS THE IN SALON TREATMENT?
Combination of exfoliating active ingredients with depigmenting properties that attenuate skin darkening in the periorbital region. This formula respects the integrity of the delicate skin of the eye contour and promotes collagen synthesis, which visibly improves skin texture in this area.
Step 1: Chloroacetic Acid, Lactic Acid
Step 2: Retinal, Ascorbic Acid, Phytic Acid
Advanced solution to attenuate dark circles and even out the skin tone of the eye contour, also improving skin texture.
This formula combines soft depigmenting active ingredients that attenuate dark circles while respecting the integrity of the skin in the eye contour. It effectively reduces melanin deposits and melano-hematic pigmentation and stimulates cell division, thus helping to reduce the signs of photoaging.
